The 10-hour drive to Oceanside was challenging, but oh so worth it, just to bask in the magic of the ocean waves as they roll in and out to the shore and back to an unseen place. My beautiful accommodation offered a magical view directly from my bed through the sliding glass doors and beyond out to the sea.

And as I gaze beyond the patio to the ocean I am reminded of this little poem:

Dancing Waves
The waves dance upon the shore,
In a mesmerizing display,
A ballet of grace and power,
A sight that takes my breath away.

What a blessing to spend December connected to nature’s magic watching the dolphins cavort with their joyous spirits free from everyday care and concern.  This trip has greater meaning for me than simply being somewhere special, this is a time to connect with my deeper spiritual self. Being by the sea has allowed me to especially reflect on life’s many gifts with gratitude for my incredible adventures, the gift of my beloved husband Brian, and the love of my family and friends. I thank God for this experience and I wish each of you “ease of being” and an enhanced connection to your own spirit in the New Year.
