Coming Full Circle With Gratitude and Humor

Coming Full Circle With Gratitude and Humor

Why the photo of a lobster you ask … well, when I was pregnant with my son, Kyle, I craved lobster. Yep, that’s right, lobster!

This story began before Kyle was born when I was craving lobster. I went to the seafood counter at a nearby grocery store and rang the bell for the butcher.  Several minutes elapsed but the butcher never came to the counter.  So, me being me, I stuck my hand in the lobster tank and pulled out a big, beautiful lobster and put it in a sack.  Thankfully, the lobster’s pincers were rubber banded so I was able to pull this off without getting the lobster stuck on my fingers!

Fast forward to January 2025 and I have come full circle.   Just a few days ago, I sent my now grown son to go buy me a lobster roll for lunch.  OK, so it did take me two days to eat it as I’m not able to eat much these days, but it did tickle my funny bone to think about craving lobster when my son was just a “bun in the over” and laughing to myself because I still crave lobster today, now that he’s a grown man.

This brings me to my real message for January 2025 and that is my deep gratitude for having had such a full and incredible life filled with so much love and friendship. In December when I was in Oceanside, California, I watched the waves from the sliding glass doors of my bedroom and I was enveloped in peace.  Although the wings of angels are drawing ever more near with the passage of each day, love and gratitude continue to bring peace to my heart. Thank you for your love and support and please know that my heart is full, my spirit is uplifted and my wish for you is to find your peace, love, and gratitude in 2025 and beyond.
